Unshakable: Part 3 - Real Hope

Are you in need of hope? Real hope?

What does it truly mean to have hope when life feels like it is falling apart? This message walks us through three warning signs that signal we may be losing hope: deep isolation, where we believe the lie that no one understands or cares; radical independence, where we convince ourselves we have to face everything alone; and a self-constructed identity, where we let our worst moments define who we are. The good news is that Romans 8:14-17 offers us something far more powerful than positive thinking or trying harder. It offers us the reality of adoption into God's family. Drawing from the cultural context of ancient Rome, where adoption meant a complete legal erasure of debt, a new name, and full inheritance rights, we discover that the same four transformations apply to us spiritually: our past is canceled, our name is changed, our future is covered, and our lives are committed to something greater than ourselves. This is not a message about earning God's favor. It is a message about receiving it. And when we truly receive it, everything changes.
