Pray First: Pt 2 - Day 1

Reading: Psalm 100:1-5

Devotional: Before we bring our needs to God, we must remember His goodness. The tabernacle model teaches us to enter God's presence with thanksgiving, acknowledging all He has already done. When we focus on God's faithfulness in the past, our faith for the present grows stronger. Too often we rush into prayer treating God like a spiritual vending machine, listing our requests without pausing to worship. Today, before you ask God for anything, spend time thanking Him. Thank Him for protection you didn't even realize you needed, for provision you took for granted, for forgiveness that cost Him everything. When thanksgiving becomes your entry point, you'll find your perspective transformed and your faith strengthened.
