Pray First: Pt 4 - Day 2

Day 2: Finding Your Place to Pray

Reading: Luke 11:1-4; Matthew 6:6

Devotional:
The disciples noticed something different about Jesus—His prayer life bore fruit. They asked, "Lord, teach us to pray." Jesus responded by giving them a model, but also by emphasizing the importance of place: "Go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father." A dedicated place matters because it minimizes distraction and maximizes focus. This isn't about legalism; it's about intentionality. Your prayer place might be a corner of your bedroom, your car during your commute, or a quiet spot in your home. The key is consistency and solitude where you can hear God's voice above the noise of life. Jesus had His solitary places, and so should we. Where you pray regularly becomes sacred ground—a meeting place between heaven and earth.

Reflection: Identify one specific place where you can consistently meet with God without interruption.
