Pray First: Pt 4 - Day 1

Day 1: Making Prayer Your Priority

Reading: Mark 1:35; Psalm 5:1-3

Devotional:
Jesus modeled what it means to put God first. Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He went to a solitary place to pray. This wasn't coincidence—it was intentional priority. When we give God the first part of our day, we acknowledge that He deserves first place in everything. The psalmist declared, "In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly." Prayer isn't just a religious duty; it's the lifeline of our relationship with God. What would you need to rearrange in your schedule to make prayer your first priority? God isn't asking for your leftovers—He's inviting you into intimate fellowship before you face your day. When God is first, everything else finds its proper place.

Reflection: What specific change can you make tomorrow morning to prioritize time with God?
