Focal Point: Pt 2 - 5-Day Devotional: Jesus Forgives - Day 3

Day 3: The Blood That Purifies

Reading: 1 John 1:5-9

Devotional: Notice the verb tense: the blood of Jesus "purifies"—present, continuous action. Not "purified" (past only) but purifies us from all sin. Your past is covered. Your present struggles are covered. Even your future failures are covered by the blood of Jesus. This isn't a license to sin carelessly; it's an invitation to walk in freedom from shame. Many Christians live trapped in cycles of sin because they focus on their failure rather than His finished work. When you sin, the enemy whispers, "God can't love you now." But Scripture declares that nothing can separate you from God's love. Confession isn't about earning forgiveness—you already have it. Confession is about remembering what's already true and walking back into the light. Stop carrying guilt Jesus already carried to the cross.

Reflection Question: What sin or shame are you carrying that Jesus has already paid for?
