Pray First: Pt 3 - Day 4

Day 4: Praying for Protection

Reading: Luke 10:19; 1 Peter 5:8-9

Devotional:
Jabez concluded his prayer with "keep me from harm." He understood that increased blessing and influence would attract spiritual opposition. The devil doesn't attack those who pose no threat to his kingdom. If you're experiencing spiritual warfare, it may be because you're walking in your God-given authority.
Jesus gave you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions—to overcome all the power of the enemy. This isn't passive hope; it's active resistance. You don't have to accept the enemy's harassment in your dreams, your thoughts, your family, or your circumstances.
Prayer is not only communion with God but confrontation with the enemy. When you stand on God's Word, speak in Jesus' name, and resist the devil, he must flee. Stop accepting what God never intended for your life. Take your authority and command every harassing spirit to leave in Jesus' name.

Reflection: What attacks have you been passively accepting? Today, speak God's Word over that situation and command the enemy to leave.
