Tis The Season: Pt 3 - Day 5

Day 5: Relying on God's Provision

Reading: Matthew 6:25-34

Devotional: God will often put more on you than you can handle so you'll learn to trust Him more. He's not trying to hurt you; He's helping you see your need for Him. Relying on God means releasing control—you can't both be in charge. Sometimes what feels like delay is actually God's protection, keeping you from something that would harm you or giving you something better than you imagined. Tell God your needs honestly, then thank Him for His answers before you see them. This is faith in action. When you stop worrying about everything and start praying about everything, you'll experience God's provision in ways that amaze you. His timing is perfect, and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

Reflection Question: What need are you trying to meet in your own strength? How can you practically rely on God's provision instead?

Closing Prayer for the Week: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, who stepped into our mess with Your message of hope. Help us receive Your pardon fully, run to Your presence daily, respect Your principles lovingly, and rely on Your provision completely. Give us peace that passes understanding—peace that makes no earthly sense but transforms our hearts completely. May we trust You in every area of our lives and experience the on-earth peace You promise to those whose thoughts are fixed on You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
