Re-Vision Church - Day 2

Day 2: Prayer Changes Everything

Reading: James 5:13-16

Devotional: Prayer isn't just a religious activity—it's the lifeline of relationship with God. When we pray first instead of worry first, gossip first, or react first, everything changes. James reminds us that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Notice he doesn't say the prayer of a perfect person, but a righteous one—someone made right with God through Jesus. Your prayers matter because God listens. We committed to 21 days of prayer because we discovered that seeking God's face transforms everything. Prayer realigns our hearts with God's purposes and empowers us to live beyond our limitations. Before you face your day, seek His face. Talk to God about everything—your fears, hopes, relationships, and dreams. He's not just interested; He's invested in you.

Reflection Question: What would change in your life if you made prayer your first response instead of your last resort?

Prayer changes everything!! I've come to know there's so many times in my life. It's not about making God your wish list but it's about drawing closer to him in prayer. I find that I need this every day in my life no matter what the situation whether it be good or bad or uncertain, I know he listens?

When I start praying first I worry less. Philippians 4:6-7 has become a part of my daily prayer life since I started that I feel better physically and emotionally. I've known with head knowledge what worry was doing to me physically but when I began to actually release my worry to the Father I began to see improvement in my health.
