Pray First: Pt 3 - Day 5

Day 5: Living the Answered Prayer

Reading: 1 Chronicles 4:10; James 1:22-25

Devotional:
The most powerful part of Jabez's story is the final phrase: "And God granted his request." When we pray according to God's will and His Word, He answers. But answered prayer requires us to be doers of the Word, not just hearers.
God has given you everything you need for life and godliness. He's blessed you, enlarged your territory, promised His presence, and provided protection. Now the question is: What will you do with what He's given you? Will you step into your calling or stay comfortable in your current condition?
Don't let your name be just another entry in the genealogy of faith. Let your life count for something eternal. Dream again. Believe again. Step out in faith again. God is looking for people who will pray bold prayers and then live bold lives that bring Him glory.

Reflection: Create a "bucket list" of things God has placed on your heart. Include items that only God could accomplish through you. Begin praying over this list daily.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, like Jabez, I cry out to You: Bless me indeed! Enlarge my territory and give me greater influence for Your kingdom. Let Your hand be upon me in everything I do, and keep me from harm and the attacks of the enemy. I trust that You will grant my request as I align my prayers with Your will. Help me to be a doer of Your Word and live a life that brings You glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
