Pray First: Pt 3 - Day 1

Day 1: Praying for Blessing

Reading: 1 Chronicles 4:9-10; Ephesians 3:20-21

Devotional: Jabez refused to let his painful past define his future. Despite being named "Pain," he boldly asked God to bless him abundantly. This wasn't selfish—it was faith-filled. God wants to bless you not just for your comfort, but so you can become a conduit of His grace to others.
Many Christians struggle to pray for blessing because of false humility or feelings of unworthiness. But our worthiness comes from Christ, not our performance. When you pray for God's blessing, you're acknowledging that He is your source and that His resources are unlimited.
Today, dare to pray beyond your needs. Ask God to give you more than enough so you can be a blessing to your family, workplace, and community. God delights in prospering His children so His kingdom can advance through generous, empowered believers.

Reflection: What blessings have you been afraid to ask God for? Write them down and present them to Him today.
