Day 3: Filled and Empowered by the Spirit
Reading: Isaiah 11:1-2; 2 Timothy 1:6-7
Devotional: The candlestick in the tabernacle burned continually, representing the Holy Spirit's constant presence. God hasn't given you a spirit of fear or timidity—He's given you power, love, and self-discipline. Yet many believers live powerless lives because they've let the fire die down. The Holy Spirit offers you wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and reverent fear of the Lord. He produces fruit in your life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These aren't suggestions—they're your inheritance as God's child. Today, fan the flame. Invite the Holy Spirit to work in every area of your life. Don't settle for lukewarm faith when God offers you fire.
