Blessed or Stressed: Pt 5 - Day 1
Day 1: The Father Who Runs Toward You
Reading: Luke 15:11-24
Devotional: The prodigal son expected judgment but received embrace. While still far off, the father ran—an undignified act in that culture—demonstrating extravagant love. Perhaps you've wandered from God's best, squandering resources, relationships, or time. You might think, "I'll just be a servant." But God says, "You're my child." The father didn't wait for the son to clean up first; he ran while the son was still covered in pig-pen filth. Your Heavenly Father isn't waiting to condemn you—He's watching for your return. Whatever you've wasted, wherever you've wandered, He's ready to run toward you with open arms. Today, take one step toward home. That's all it takes to feel His embrace.
Reflection Question: What keeps you from running to God instead of from Him?
