Blessed or Stressed: Pt 5 - Day5
Day 5: Peace That Passes Understanding
Reading: Isaiah 9:6-7, John 16:33, Philippians 4:6-7
Devotional: Jesus is called the Prince of Peace—not because He removes all problems, but because He gives peace in the midst of them. The Hebrew word "Sar Shalom" means the Lord of completeness, the master of wholeness. In this world you will have trouble, Jesus promised, but in Him you have peace. This isn't circumstantial happiness; it's supernatural contentment. When you make Jesus Lord—not just Savior—of your finances, relationships, time, and dreams, His peace guards your heart. Anxiety comes from trying to control what only God can handle. The antidote? Prayer with thanksgiving. Tell God your needs, thank Him for His faithfulness, and let His peace, which transcends understanding, stand guard over your heart and mind.
Reflection Question: What area of worry will you surrender to the Lord of Peace today?

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the Prince of Peace in my chaotic world. Help me trust You with my whole life—my finances, my future, my fears. Teach me to live with contentment, generosity, and margin. When I'm tempted to stress, remind me that You're my provider and protector. I choose today to make You Lord of every area, knowing that where You are Lord, Your peace will reign. In Jesus' name, Amen.
