What John Saw First: Day 2

Day 2: The Throne That Never Empties

Reading: Isaiah 6:1-3

Devotional: When King Uzziah died after more than fifty years of reign, the stability of an entire nation seemed to collapse with him. Isaiah was living through a moment of deep national uncertainty. But in that very year, God gave him a vision of something that had not changed and would not change: a throne, high and lifted up, already occupied. The seraphim were not panicking. They were not holding emergency meetings. They were worshiping. Heaven was not worried because heaven knew the King. Whatever earthly leadership, security, or stability you have lost, look up. That throne has never been vacant.

Reflection: What earthly source of security have you been trusting more than the unchanging presence of God on His throne?

Practical Application: Write down one circumstance in your life that feels unstable or uncertain. Beneath it, write the words: "But God is still on the throne." Place it somewhere you will see it daily this week.
