Reading: Colossians 1:9-14 and Romans 5:3-5

Devotional: To grow like Jesus means developing wisdom (applying God's truth) and stature (godly character that carries weight). Wisdom comes from knowing Scripture, understanding its meaning, and applying it to your life. Use the SOAP method: read Scripture, make Observations, find Applications for your life, and Pray for the Spirit's help. Your stature—your presence—should reflect Christ. When you enter a room, people should sense something different about you: hope, peace, love. This character is formed through perseverance in suffering, which produces hope. Don't waste your trials; let them shape you. Your character in difficulty reveals who you truly are and whose you truly are.
