The Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of Firstfruits both point to a deeper truth: celebration is not just about activity—it’s about trust. We celebrate by resting in God’s goodness and relying on Him instead of ourselves. In a world that constantly pushes us to strive, achieve, and prove ourselves, God invites us to rest. In Christ, we are freed from the burden of trying to earn our salvation. We don’t have to carry what Jesus has already completed. Relying on God also means living with open hands—trusting Him with our resources, our future, and our lives. The happiest people aren’t those who have the most, but those who trust God the most. Today, choose rest over striving. Trust over control. Let your life reflect a deep reliance on God’s goodness.
