A Summer To Remember: Remember His Promises - Day 5

Day 5: Restored for Purpose

Reading: Ephesians 1:11-14; John 10:10

Devotional: God's ultimate promise transforms you from a person into a people—part of His body with divine purpose. "It's in Christ we find out who we are and what we are living for." You're not a cosmic accident or a meaningless existence paying bills until you die. Long before you knew Him, God had His eye on you, designing you for glorious living as part of His eternal plan. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give you life to the full—not easy, but fulfilling. When you discover your role in God's purpose through His people, everything changes. You're not just trying to stop sinning; you're starting to truly live. You're a piece of the puzzle making this world better. What will you do today that matters for eternity?

Reflection Question: How is God calling me to use my unique gifts to make a difference in His kingdom?

Closing Prayer: Father, thank You for Your unchangeable, eternal promises. Help me to know them, understand them, and pursue them with all my heart. Move me from salvation to freedom, from redemption to purpose. I surrender my life completely to You, believing that Your promises are yes and amen. Make this a season I'll remember forever—a time when I drew closer to You than ever before. In Jesus' name, Amen.
