Devotional: The kingdom of God operates on delayed gratification. Unlike caffeine's instant buzz or social media's immediate dopamine hit, spiritual disciplines require patient faithfulness before producing visible fruit. You may not feel different after one prayer or one Bible reading, but transformation is happening beneath the surface. Just as nutrition builds health over time, God's Word renews your mind gradually. Don't trade long-term blessing for short-term pleasure. Sin promises quick satisfaction but leaves lasting damage; God's way requires patience but always leads to life. Faith sees the answer before it manifests and gives thanks in advance. Keep swinging that axe daily, trusting that your labor in the Lord is never in vain.
