Reading: 1 Timothy 4:12; Romans 6:12-14

Devotional: You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. Today marks a new beginning in your walk with Christ. God doesn't look at where you've been; He sees where you're going. Paul encourages young Timothy not to let anyone despise his youth, but to be an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. The same call rests on you today. Sin no longer has to be your master because you're under grace—not freedom to sin, but freedom from sin. Examine your life honestly. What needs to change? Remember, you can't change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction. Take that first step today. Surrender one area to God's control and watch Him begin a transforming work in you.
