This Changes Everything: Praise & Worship - Day 2

Reading: Psalm 100:1-5 — An invitation to come before God with thankfulness and praise, entering his presence through gates of thanksgiving and courts of praise, rooted in the truth that he is good and his love endures forever.

Devotional:

The sermon offered a memorable image: a magnifying glass does not make an object larger, but it changes how large that object appears relative to everything around it. That is precisely what praise does for the believer. When you fix your eyes on God through worship and thanksgiving, he does not become bigger than he already is — he is already infinite — but he becomes bigger in your eyes than the problem that has been consuming your attention. Your doctor's report has not changed. Your financial pressure has not lifted. But suddenly, you remember that the God you serve is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Praise does not deny your circumstances. It reframes them against the backdrop of who God is.

Personal Reflection: What circumstance in your life has felt larger than God lately? What would it mean to deliberately magnify God above that situation through praise today?

Practical Application: Write down three specific things you are grateful to God for today — not general blessings, but specific, personal moments of his faithfulness. Speak them aloud as an act of praise before you begin your day.
