Day 1: Storms Are Inevitable, But You Are Not Alone

Day 1: Storms Are Inevitable, But You Are Not Alone

Reading: Isaiah 43:1-3

Devotional: God does not promise His people a storm-free life. He promises something far greater -- His presence within the storm. Isaiah 43:2 does not say "if" you pass through the waters; it says "when." That single word carries enormous weight. It acknowledges the reality of difficulty while anchoring us to the certainty of divine companionship. The disciples were exactly where Jesus told them to be when the storm arose. Obedience does not exempt us from adversity, but it does guarantee we face that adversity in the company of the One who commands the wind and the waves. You are not alone today.

Reflection: In what current situation have you been tempted to believe God has abandoned you? How does His promise of presence change the way you face it?

Application: Write down one specific fear you are carrying this week. Beside it, write Isaiah 43:2 in your own words as a personal declaration of God's promise to you.

Storms don't create faith, they reveal it - Pastor Mark. Reminds me of Peter when he was walking on the water, he took his eye off Christ and on to the storm. What are you focused on.?
