Day 4: Heirs, Not Slaves - Unshakable: Real Hope

Reading: Romans 8:15-17; Galatians 4:4-7

Devotional: Galatians 4:4-7 reinforces the truth of Romans 8, declaring that because believers are sons and daughters of God, they are no longer slaves but heirs. A slave works in fear, always uncertain of his standing. An heir walks in confidence, knowing that everything belonging to the father also belongs to the child. Too many believers still live as though they are spiritual servants begging for scraps, when God has already seated them as heirs at his table. You do not have to earn what has already been given. Receive it. Walk in it. Your inheritance is not something you are working toward. It is something you already possess in Christ.

Reflection: In what ways do you still approach God as a fearful servant rather than as a confident child? What would change in your prayer life if you truly believed you were an heir of God?

Practical Application: Read Romans 8:17 slowly three times today. Each time you read it, pause and declare aloud: "I am an heir of God and a co-heir with Christ."
