A Summer To Remember: Before You Lead - Day 2

Reading: Matthew 4:18-22

Devotional: Jesus did not open a leadership conference. He did not post a call for volunteers. He simply walked along the shore and said two words: follow me. Those words were not arrogant. They were the words of someone who knew exactly what He had to offer and exactly what those men needed. The disciples did not have their lives perfectly arranged before they responded. They left their nets immediately. God is not waiting for you to have everything figured out before He calls you. He is calling you right now, exactly where you are, into something greater than you can currently imagine.

Reflection: What nets are you still holding onto that are keeping you from fully following Jesus?

Practical Application: Write down one thing you have been hesitant to surrender to God. Spend time in prayer today specifically releasing that thing and asking Jesus to lead you forward.
