Day 5: Death Turns Into Life - Unshakable: Real Maturity

Day 5: Death Turns Into Life

Reading: John 10:10; Romans 8:29-30

Devotional: Jesus drew a sharp contrast between the enemy's purpose and his own. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came to give life — rich, full, and abundant life, not merely in eternity, but beginning now. The same God who predestined you to be conformed to the image of his Son has called you, justified you, and glorified you. That is not a future sequence — it is a completed declaration from the God who exists outside of time. Because Jesus walked out of the grave, dead dreams, dead relationships, dead hope, and dead seasons are not beyond his reach. Real maturity is refusing to let the enemy's report be the final word when you already know how the story ends.

Reflection Questions:
  • What area of your life have you quietly given up on, assuming God cannot or will not bring restoration?
  • How does knowing that you are called, justified, and glorified by God change the way you face today?

Practical Application: Take the thing you identified above — the area you have given up on — and pray specifically over it today. Ask God to either restore it or to reveal his greater purpose for why that season ended. Then choose to trust his answer, whatever it is. Write the words "He causes everything to work together for good" somewhere you will see them throughout the week as a daily reminder of Romans 8:28.
