Day 2: What We Can Know Because of Experience - Unshakable: Real Maturity

Day 2: What We Can Know Because of Experience

Reading: Romans 8:28; Colossians 2:13-15

Devotional: The Greek word behind "we know" in Romans 8:28 is not the knowledge of a textbook. It is the knowledge that comes through lived experience — a knowing shaped by what has already been proven true. And at the center of that knowing stands the cross. What happened there was the greatest reversal in all of history. An instrument of execution became an instrument of liberation. What the enemy designed as the end, God used as a new beginning. Because of what Jesus experienced, you can know — not merely hope or wish — that God is actively causing all things to work together for your good.

Reflection Questions:
  • Can you identify a past season where something painful eventually revealed God's faithfulness?
  • How does the reality of the cross change the way you interpret your current circumstances?

Practical Application: Write down one difficult situation you are currently facing. Beneath it, write down one thing you know to be true about God based on what Jesus accomplished. Let that truth be the lens through which you view the situation today.
