A Summer To Remember: Before You Lead - Day 5

Reading: Acts 1:8

Devotional: Jesus made a promise before He ascended. He told His followers they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them, and that power would make them His witnesses. This promise was not reserved for the apostles alone. It belongs to every believer. The Holy Spirit empowers ordinary people to live extraordinary lives. You do not need to manufacture influence or manufacture courage. You simply need to stay close to the source of both. As Pastor Mark reminded us, the effectiveness of our leadership will never rise above the depth of our relationship with Christ. Stay close to Jesus, and let His power flow through you.

Reflection: Are you regularly inviting the Holy Spirit to fill and lead you, or are you trying to live the Christian life in your own strength?

Practical Application: Begin each morning this week with a simple prayer inviting the Holy Spirit to lead you throughout the day. At the end of each day, write down one moment where you sensed His guidance or presence. Watch how awareness of His work in your life grows day by day.
