This Changes Everything: The Holy Spirit - Day 1

Reading: Psalm 27:1-8

Devotional: Before the world can be changed, you must be changed. That change begins with one simple response to one simple invitation. God is not distant or disinterested. He is actively calling your name, drawing your heart toward his, saying come and talk with me. The psalmist did not hesitate. His heart responded immediately. Too often we wait until we feel worthy, prepared, or put together before we approach God. But his presence is not a reward for good behavior. It is a gift freely given to those who simply turn toward him and come.

Reflection: What is one thing keeping you from responding to God's invitation today?

Practical Application: Set aside ten uninterrupted minutes today to simply sit in God's presence. No agenda. No requests. Just come and listen.
