Unshakable: Real Life - Day 2

Reading: Genesis 2:8-17; John 10:10

Devotional:
The choice in the garden was never simply about fruit. It was about authority. Would humanity trust God's leadership, or declare themselves king? That same choice presents itself to us daily. The tree of self says, "I know best." It promises wisdom and independence, but it delivers exhaustion and separation. The tree of life says, "He knows best." It asks us to yield, to let Jesus go first in every decision, every relationship, every reaction. In John 10:10, Jesus declares that He came so we might have life abundantly -- not life managed carefully, but life lived fully under His authority and care.

Reflection Questions:

• Where in your daily life are you most tempted to eat from the tree of self?
• What would it look like practically to let Jesus "go first" in that area today?

Practical Application: Before making a significant decision today, pause and ask: "Jesus, what would you do here?" Practice yielding in at least one moment where your instinct is to lead yourself.
