A Summer To Remember: Before You Lead - Day 4

Reading: 2 Timothy 2:1-2

Devotional: Paul poured into Timothy. Timothy was instructed to pour into faithful people. Those faithful people were to pour into others. Four generations of discipleship captured in a single passage. The gospel has always traveled at the speed of relationships. You do not need a title, a platform, or a perfect track record to invest in someone else. You simply need to be one step ahead and willing to bring someone along with you. As Pastor Mark challenged the congregation, God is not asking you to change the whole world. He may simply be asking you to invest in one person this week.

Reflection: Who in your life is watching how you follow Jesus, whether you realize it or not? What are your actions teaching them?

Practical Application: Identify one person in your life who could benefit from your encouragement this week. Reach out to them today. Pray with them, share a Scripture, or simply remind them that God has not forgotten them.
